“My 12 year old daughter and I have somewhat recently began taking acoustic guitar lessons together with Greg. The experience has been amazing. We asked Greg to consider a departure from his typical teaching routine by working with us at the same time. He has been able to easily adapt his curriculum to our unique situation. My daughter and I both very much look forward to our lessons and we are learning at a solid pace. Greg’s skill as a guitarist is obvious, but in addition to this he leverages great abilities in delivering the lesson in a way we can both easily absorb it as well as being very positive and constructive in feedback and guidance. He is a true gentlemen and a great teacher. If you want to learn how to play guitar better, call Greg right away, you will not be disappointed.”

“Immediately recognizable when starting Greg Fenton’s guitar cirriculum is that his lessons build on each other expontentially. Before you know it, the smaller lessons compound into to larger ones and you’re already well on the way to chipping away the mystery of learning to play the guitar and more importantly: to be musical. Greg’s guitar guidance has been a godsend and I fully endorse his program for any person who desires a fluid but comphrehensive approach to skill building and all-around musical ability on the guitar.”

“Greg is the best teacher I’ve ever had. He has mastered something as convoluted as music theory and has unbelievable technical skill. There is no one I know more qualified to be teaching this and you will be amazed at how fast you progress with his guidance. I would not be the musician I am today if I had never met him. He also is an extremely talented artist which only supplements his music teaching. All of his charts are hand drawn and clear and concise. You will never be scratching your head wondering what something is supposed to be. I still have the booklets from our lessons together. They are one of a kind and a great resource to refer to. If you are someone who has always wanted to be a great musician then this is the guy for you! No matter who has taught you in the past or what you may have tried, Greg will bring the talent out that you never know you had!”

“Greg is guiding me through a new world on an expedited journey. I am a lifelong music fan (some might say fanatic) and never imagined I could be an active participant. Unbeknownst to me, I simultaneously developed a understanding of what was transpiring beyond the sounds I enjoy.

Consistent lessons with Greg have catapulted my abilities and I continue to surprise myself day in and day out. In my opinion, Greg’s methodical approach to instruction coupled with his flexibility to my specific interests is what makes him exceptional. Give him a try, you have nothing to lose and I’m positive you will be playing guitar in short order.”

“Greg is wonderful! He really cares about my son’s success. His lessons are crafted to build skills and confidence. He is patient and really sets a tone conductive to learning. Greg is always friendly and on time. My son always looks forward to his lessons and doesn’t even mind turning off his video games.
Highly Recommended!”

“First off, I really am a student of Greg. That being written, I have been a student of Greg’s for two years, but he has advanced my skill level by much, much more. His patience and quiet demeanor is always supportive and intuitively he always hits the right note with me. Whether I want to learn classic Bob Dylan or Peter, Paul and Mary or the Dixie Chicks, we always add the song to my playbook, making it my own with added riffs and runs. My fingers have never danced so fluidly along the strings. He really is that good. It is with no hesitation that I can recommend Greg as an outstanding guitar instructor.”

“Greg is an amazing guitar instructor! This was my third (and last) attempt at learning guitar. I am an old man (53) and at first was skeptical about having an instructor so young, he’s not much older than my daughter. Not an issue at all. He actually contacted me to discuss my expectations and see if we would be a good fit prior to setting up any lessons. Who does that? Greg is by far the most patient and enthusiastic instructor I’ve had. He is adept at teaching any genre you might be interested in. I’m a classic rock guy, but we discuss all types of music. As far as progress, you’d have to ask Greg, but I am further along than I thought I’d be at this point. I’m not taking lessons as I write this due to hand surgery (not caused by Greg being too hard on me!), but I can’t wait to get back to the guitar.”

“Greg is an incredibly talented musician and an amazing guitar teacher. He can play just about anything and teaches a mix of the fundamentals and songs that the student wants to learn. He thoroughly prepares for each lesson with the view towards getting you where you want to be as quickly as possible. He’s also a genuinely fun guy and the lessons are a hoot!”
